Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist skilled in both CT and general x-ray modalities with at least 2 years of experience for a role in a freestanding ED setting.

Responsibilities

Work in a freestanding emergency department with 10 ED beds
Responsible for both CT and diagnostic x-ray imaging, including portables
Average caseload of 20 ED visits and 30 imaging studies per day (CT and Rad)
ED patient population only
Day shifts are 12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
No call required
Holiday coverage required for 75% of holidays
No floating between departments
EMR is Epic, with Radiant RIS and Philips iSite PACS
Equipment includes Providence GE Revolution Evo, Siemens GoTop, Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors, Shimadzu RadSpeed and MX8 x-ray units
Duties include performing CT scans, general x-ray imaging, and assisting with patient care such as obtaining vitals and rooming patients
Expected to chaperone ultrasound exams and assist other modalities as needed
Team-oriented work environment with multidisciplinary support
Orientation includes one day of administrative onboarding and up to one week of departmental training
Scrub color is black
Complimentary onsite surface lot parking provided
First-time travelers will be considered if familiar with CT scanners
Holiday schedule and weekend rotation will be discussed during interview

Requirements

Current ARRT (R) certification with advanced registry in CT required
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience as a dual-modality DX/CT technologist required
Proficiency in both CT and general x-ray imaging, including portable exams
Ability or willingness to perform vitals, EKG, room patients, assist with labs and lines, and sit with psych patients as needed
Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
License required if applicable
Candidates’ permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
