Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with experience in nuclear medicine procedures, Epic charting, and active OR licensure.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department
Four 10-hour day shifts per week, with start times between 6:30 AM and 8:15 AM depending on the shift
Shifts include a rotating weekday schedule with hours such as 8:15 AM – 6:45 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM on Thursday
On-call required approximately 7 days per month after department hours
Travelers may float to nearby affiliate hospital within approximately 15 minutes
Epic EMR experience required
Performs nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
Must take call or standby after hours as scheduled
Strict RTO policy; requests must be finalized at time of consideration and cannot be changed afterwards
Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 6 months to be eligible
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates will be accepted at the same rates
No block scheduling is permitted
Modules are required pre-start and annually based on specialty

Requirements

Active Oregon Nuclear Medicine license required; pending Nuclear Medicine with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) allowed if applicable
Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT) within 6 months of hire
BLS (AHA) required within 90 days of hire
ACLS required within 6 months of hire
Must complete Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire
1-2 years of nuclear medicine experience preferred
Ability to operate state-of-the-art nuclear medicine gamma cameras and related technical equipment
Epic charting experience required
COVID vaccination required without exemption

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
