Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 3 years of experience, ARRT (CT) certification, and Epic EMR experience for a Level 1 trauma environment.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based CT scanner department
Day shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, 3 days per week
Patient population includes all ages in a Level 1 trauma setting
Works with advanced CT imaging equipment, including CT 1 and CT 2, workstations, and printers
Procedures include routine and specialized CT examinations and invasive procedures when required
Stand-by call is required
Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience required
Perform routine and specialized CT procedures with independent judgment under radiologist direction
Responsible for adapting procedures to obtain specific diagnostic or therapeutic results
Assist with invasive procedures, sterile tray setup, and support radiologist with catheters and guidewires
Maintain accurate documentation and patient flow in line with department protocols
Promote patient and staff safety, including use of lift equipment
Participate in training and mentoring of fellow technologists and students
RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from facility
Scrubs or dress code details not specified
Returning candidates may not work more than 1 year continuously at the facility before a 6-month break is required

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of applicable CT technologist experience
Associate's Degree in a related field required
ARRT (CT) certification required
Illinois state Rad Tech license (IMEA) required
BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
Demonstrated Epic EMR experience required
Experience in a Level 1 trauma environment required
Must possess strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills
License required if applicable

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
