Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Care for medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• 3x12 hour shifts with rotating days and nights (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am)
• Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs and may be rotated between days and nights
• Requires working at least every other holiday
• Assignments cannot exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location
• A minimum 6-month break is required before returning for another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
• Orientation includes competency assessments
• Holiday coverage is required for at least every other holiday
• Scheduling is based on hospital operational needs and flexibility is required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• AHA or American Red Cross certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• At least 18 months of permanent experience in specialty prior to travel assignments
• ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments must be successfully completed during orientation
