Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and proficiency on Siemens and GE CT scanners for a fast-paced emergency department role.
Responsibilities
- Work in an emergency department performing CT scans using Siemens (FORCE model) and GE scanners
- Handles cases for infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Typical procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstructions
- Covers some trauma and code stroke cases
- Daily caseload ranges from 150-200 scans across 4 rooms
- Team structure varies by shift with 4-5 techs on first shift, 2-3 on second, 1 on third, and 2 techs on weekends
- Weekend shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 12-hour days from 8:45pm to 9:15am
- EMR system used is Epic; imaging uses Visage
- No call or floating required
- Role involves working in a very fast-paced emergency department environment
- Responsibilities include performing scans for routine ED patients, code stroke, and trauma cases
- Orientation start day may vary (Wednesday–Friday) depending on trainer availability; full availability required during the first week
- Missing any portion of orientation may lead to delayed or canceled start
- Royal blue scrubs are required
- No weekend requested time off (RTO) is permitted
- Any additional RTO or unit call offs could result in contract cancellation
- Must be available for interview prior to offer
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a CT Technologist
- BLS and ARRT(R)(CT) certifications required
- Proficiency with Siemens (FORCE model) and GE CT scanners is mandatory
- Experience in inpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings required
- Must have CT procedure experience in abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstructions
- License required if applicable
- First-time travelers will be considered
