Description

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a weekends-only, multi-modality role requiring ARRT certification, BLS, and an active IN state license.

Responsibilities

Work in a short-term acute care hospital setting
Department covers CT and XR modalities with adult and pediatric patients
Utilizes 2 Phillips IQon CT scanners, 2 Siemens DR XR rooms, Carestream portables
Handles ER, inpatient, and outpatient cases in a Stroke 1 Accredited environment
Charting is done using Cerner EMR system
Schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Up to 5 call shifts per month including one weekend and 1-2 weekdays
Holiday shifts are required
No floating between like units or to sister facilities
Local candidates are accepted
Must be comfortable working alone at times during the shift
Candidates must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays
First-time travelers are considered for this position
Returning permanent or PRN employees must be separated for at least 12 months before reapplying
Royal blue scrubs are required
Free parking is available onsite
Up to 5 days of requested time off can be auto-approved

Requirements

Minimum 18 months to 2 years of recent experience as a CT Technologist
Current ARRT certification and BLS required
Active Indiana state license required; pending licenses are not accepted
Must be able to perform both CT and general X-ray procedures
Experience working independently as a multi-modality CT/XR technologist
Proficiency with Siemens, Carestream, and Phillips equipment
Cerner EMR experience required
Graduate of a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
License required if applicable

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
