Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in an Intermediate Care Unit requiring a NH or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an Intermediate Care Unit within a hospital setting
- Typical patient population includes those requiring telemetry monitoring and intermediate care
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Thirteen-week contract assignment
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
- Responsible for delivering telemetry and intermediate care nursing to a diverse patient population
- Role does not consider local candidates as per the 50-mile radius rule
- All RNs must provide current certifications and state license verification for consideration
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Intermediate Care or Telemetry experience required
- Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required, with cards valid for at least 30 days from start
- NIH Stroke Certification required for Telemetry RNs
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Professional reference requirements as per state: one for NH

Cons
frequent floating, travelers float first, never core staff. heavy neuro focus in the icu. trach/vent peg/TF q2 turn. travelers don't get the fresh sick ones, moreso sick stable.

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in.
