Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of cath lab experience and an active ND or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level 1 trauma hospital cardiac cath lab
• Provide care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, device implants, peripheral vascular procedures, and structural heart interventions
• Caseload includes STEMI and stroke patients
• 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio during procedures
• Unit consists of 7 cath labs
• Uses EPIC (One Chart), CUPID, GE MAC LAB, EKOS, balloon pumps, IMPELLA, Angiovac, FFR, and IVUS equipment
• 8 or 10 hour day shifts Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM
• On-call required every 2-3 weekends and one night per week, as part of a 4-person RN call team plus physician
• No floating to other units
• Provide nursing care including patient assessment, conscious sedation, and monitoring during complex cardiac and vascular procedures
• Part of an on-call team, with potential to be the only RN on call during shifts
• Scrub uniform provided in ceil blue
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Applicants must not reside within 60 miles of the facility; reduced pay rate applies for those living 60-80 miles away
• Returning candidates must have an end date of at least 6 months prior if previously employed at any Sanford Health location

Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab RN experience in a large hospital, Level 2 trauma or higher environment
• Experience in ICU or ED setting preferred
• Ability to administer conscious sedation
