Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for night shifts at a Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center, requiring a valid RN license and specialized certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in the Emergency Department of a Level II trauma, comprehensive stroke, and STEMI accredited center
26-bed unit serving tertiary care needs in southeast Idaho
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (18:45 - 7:15)
Uses Epic EMR, with prior Epic experience preferred
Floating and on-call status not specified
Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not eligible
Unit provides care for trauma, stroke, and cardiovascular emergency cases
First-time travelers will be considered for this assignment
No travel pairs or group submissions are permitted
No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be auto-approved and no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation

Requirements

Active ID or compact state RN license required
1-2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required and TNCC preferred
Former permanent staff must have been gone for at least 1 year before being eligible
Experience with Epic charting preferred

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
