Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Stepdown position requiring a GA or compact RN license, with critical care experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in an IMCU (Stepdown) unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes stepdown level, intermediate care patients
• Day shift available with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
• Some weekend and holiday shifts required
• Assignment length is 13 weeks with possible extension
• Responsible for providing stepdown nursing care and managing intermediate acuity patients
• Royal blue scrubs are required and not provided
• Minimal to no requested time off will be approved
• Holiday coverage based on assignment schedule
• Start date is approximately three weeks from offer

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum one year of recent Critical Care and ICU experience required
• Must have experience with IV starts, lab draws, sample collecting, and titrating critical drips
• Two references required for consideration
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility
