Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position, requiring a FL or compact license and ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length, with three 12-hour evening shifts (15:00–03:00)
• Required ratio is 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Six weekend shifts are required per six-week schedule cycle
• On-call shifts are required as needed
• Travelers may be required to float to all four locations
• Documentation is done using Epic EMR
• Employees and contracted travelers must wait one year after leaving an internal position before reapplying
• Finalized time off must be included with application, and RTO will not be accepted after offer
• Dress code requires any solid-color scrubs with matching tops and bottoms, without logos or prints
• Free parking with a decal is provided following orientation
• Locals are accepted at the same pay rate as travelers

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license is required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• CPI certification is preferred
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Two professional references from manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director within the last year are required
• Flu vaccine required from October 31 to March 31, with medical or religious exemptions only
