Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 18 months of experience and ARRT certification for night shifts in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Position covers outpatient, inpatient, emergency, ICU, med/surg, clinic, and scheduled testing areas
• Work involves 2 patient rooms in a critical access hospital environment
• Performs CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, myelography, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Also performs X-ray procedures on extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal areas, and both lower and upper extremities
• Uses PACS and portable imaging equipment
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Night shift schedule: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Floating may be required within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital
• Responsibilities include performing MRI and X-ray studies as described and supporting a busy, multi-department hospital environment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
• Former permanent or PRN employees must be gone for at least 12 months before applying as travelers
• Travelers may be required to float to affiliated facilities

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of CT technologist experience required
• Current ARRT R certification required; advanced ARRT preferred
• BLS required (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited university
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and ICU imaging required
• Proficiency with PACS systems and portable imaging
• Cerner charting experience required
• IN or Compact License must be in hand if applicable and for assignments starting within 2-4 weeks
