Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position with night shifts, requiring an active MO or compact license and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Stepdown unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Nursing ratio is 1:3
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
• Float rotation to med telemetry, med surg, and rehab units as needed
• Every third weekend required
• Experience with special procedures and equipment such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, Bipap, and Airvo is expected
• Experience with drips including Cardizem, Amio, Heparin, and Dobutamine
• Uses Epic electronic medical records system
• May be assigned charge nurse duties if qualified
• Black scrubs are required
• Free parking is available onsite
• Holiday coverage may be required per hospital needs
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license
• Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS and BLS via AHA
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Required to be comfortable managing isolation patients, including COVID cases
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility
