Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a current OH or compact RN license and at least two years of recent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Care for adult medical-surgical patients with telemetry monitoring
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation
• Must achieve an acceptable score on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Assignments at the specified health system may not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month waiting period required before returning
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active OH or compact state RN license in hand
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must be willing to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• At least 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience prior to travel required
• At least one recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN in the specialty is required
