Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position, requiring a TX or compact RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Telemetry Unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds
• Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00)
• Expected patient ratios are 1:4.5
• Required to work six weekends in a six-week period
• Floating required between units and to other facilities within the state
• Epic EMR is used and required
• Adhere to solid navy blue uniform or scrub attire requirements (no print tops allowed)
• No on-call required for this position
• All travelers must be willing to float if needed per facility policy
• Minimal to no time off (RTO) is preferred for contract consideration; all time off requests must be submitted at the time of application
• Free parking available in designated employee/visitor lots
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• At least 2 supervisory references from the last three years within a comparable specialty/setting are required for consideration
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months to return as a traveler and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
