Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) in Texas requiring a TX or compact RN license and emergency nursing certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) within a hospital setting
• This is a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week on the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient population includes emergency and trauma cases typical for an ER environment
• Provide direct and efficient emergency care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of medical and trauma conditions
• Holiday coverage on assigned holidays is expected
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrub attire details will be provided during onboarding

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent ER nursing experience required
• Current certifications: AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and PALS
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA) required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the hospital; no local candidates accepted
• US Social Security Number and Date of Birth required for consideration
• At least one professional reference required (not applicable to Florida or Missouri)
• Copy of state board license verification and certifications required for consideration
