Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring IL licensure, Level 1 Trauma experience, and Epic charting skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Care for patients in a Level 1 Trauma environment
• Floats include a 2-week nights rotation during the assignment
• Work schedule includes mids (11:00AM-11:00PM) with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Two 13-hour call shifts per 6-week schedule, with one-hour onsite response time required
• Uses Epic EMR system, Epic experience required
• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care plan development, and implementing nursing interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities
• Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to ensure high-quality emergency care
• Provide feedback to peers and participate in professional development
• RTO cannot exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract
• Travelers may not remain on assignment with the client for more than one year without a six-month break
• No travel partners will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active RN license in Illinois, temporary license accepted
• Minimum one year of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Documented experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting
• Experience with Epic charting required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
