Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a current MI RN license and at least 2 years of recent experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a Medical Surgical Combination unit within a hospital setting
Night shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
13-week assignment duration
Permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility
COVID vaccination card required
Med/Surg nursing responsibilities in a combination unit
Profile and skills checklist required for consideration

Requirements

Active Michigan RN license required
Minimum of 2 years' recent Med/Surg nursing experience
Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility in the past 12 months
Cannot be employed full time elsewhere
RQI certifications are not accepted

I have never worked anywhere that runs like this facility. They have very limited resources in the upper peninsula. The staffing is always short. The nurses normally do a lot of tech work daily very unorganized difficult to complete tasks because of the way the unit is run. The people are great, but I don’t see any improvement here for a very long time
