Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Massachusetts with required MA RN license and inpatient OR scrub experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting with 17 operating rooms
• Handles surgical services including general, GYN, GU, oral, oto, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine cases
• Works 12-hour evening shifts, 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.
• Required to work every third weekend as needed and every other holiday
• One call shift per schedule period
• May float to Moakley OR as needed
• Operates in a Level 1 Trauma environment
• Must maintain a positive attitude, flexibility, and excellent communication skills
• Must demonstrate competency in surgical specialties such as neuro and vascular in addition to general, GYN, and GU
• Holiday rotation required
• Monthly parking fees may apply for onsite parking
• Two professional references required including at least one from a manager with recent performance evaluation
• References from another traveler will not be accepted
• One reference evaluation must be within 12 months and the other within 3 years
• First time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers except for sterile processing unit roles

Requirements

• Active and current MA RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient OR experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma hospital strongly preferred
• Scrub experience in the operating room required
• Competency in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties required
• Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B
