Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an ECHO Tech with at least 3 years of experience, RDCS or CCI credentials, and strong Epic charting skills for a dayshift role.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an echocardiography department within a hospital setting
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational on-call shifts during the week and weekends
  • Performs routine and complex echocardiographic procedures, including exercise and dobutamine stress, adult, pediatric, and transesophageal echoes
  • Uses Epic for charting and Xcelera for preliminary study documentation
  • Serves a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult cases
  • Works collaboratively with a cardiovascular services team
  • Responsibilities include performing and documenting a full range of echo testing and administering contrast as needed
  • Must accurately review and ensure completeness of patient data
  • Team-oriented role providing compassionate care with a commitment to continuous learning
  • Call rotation participation is required
  • Scrub attire is required per hospital policy
  • Assignment length is 26 weeks
  • RTO must not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
  • Past employees may not return without a 6-month break after one year of continuous assignment
  • Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an ECHO Tech
  • Associate's Degree in Ultrasound required
  • Current RDCS (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) required
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma environment required
  • Ability to coordinate patient flow and perform multiple tasks efficiently
  • License required if applicable
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
