Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Ortho/Total Joint Center night shift position requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least one year of recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Total Joint Center within an orthopedic hospital unit
• Patient population includes adults undergoing joint replacement and orthopedic procedures
• Night shift schedule from 7:00PM to 7:00AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• No on-call shifts are specified
• Provide nursing care to patients recovering from joint replacement and other orthopedic surgeries
• Adhere to facility and unit policies for documentation and patient care
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and nursing team members for coordinated patient care
• Compliance with all orientation and onboarding documentation requirements is essential
• First-time travelers are not restricted unless otherwise noted in the job description

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• At least one year of recent experience in orthopedic or med/surg nursing
• Minimum of two years of total clinical experience preferred
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required, with valid through at least the first 30 days of assignment
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past year
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility—local candidates will not be considered
• Professional references required, with state-specific requirements as applicable
