Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 3+ years of experience and ARRT (R)(CT) certification for a 4x10 day shift contract serving a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Level 3 Trauma hospital with both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
• Responsibilities include performing CT scans for inpatient, emergency, and outpatient cases
• Four CT rooms with an average daily caseload of 12-24
• Equipment includes Siemens and Philips CT scanners, Epic EMR, and Fuji PACS
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, Friday through Monday
• Every other weekend is required unless otherwise specified
• Floating within the facility as needed
• Eight days of call during the contract with two weeks’ advance notice
• Scrub color required is gray
• Perform CT scans according to established protocols and provide excellent patient care
• Work collaboratively with technologists, nurses, physicians, and support staff
• Must be available to work major holidays per unit policy; RTO on holidays is limited as outlined
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed, cannot request RTO during the first week of assignment
• Full compliance is required prior to start for on-time orientation
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Travelers previously employed by the facility must have been away for at least one full year to be eligible
• Completion of unit-required modules is required during orientation

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years CT Tech experience
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT registry and ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
• Must have either GA or Compact license in hand at the time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Experience starting IVs and obtaining patient consent
• Familiarity with Siemens and Philips CT scanners preferred
• Experience in Level 3 Trauma and stroke alert environments is preferred
• Two supervisory references are highly preferred at the time of consideration
• First-time travelers are accepted
