Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab Electrophysiology (EP) position requiring a MA RN license and strong IV and emergency response skills.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a radiology department at an ambulatory off-site location
• Four 10-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm
• Patient population includes all types, with a typical caseload of 1-2 patients and a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Work involves CT scanning and IR/EP procedures with use of specialized radiology equipment
• Epic charting system is used for documentation
• No floating or rotating shifts required
• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing IR and EP procedures within a radiology/CT setting
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions permitted
• Team-oriented environment with a low patient census
• Parking costs may apply at the work location
• Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to qualify for standard rates
• No first-time travelers accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered MA RN license required; conditional licenses not accepted
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
• Minimum of 3 years recent medical-surgical nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of recent critical care experience preferred
• Proven skills in IV placement and emergency response/management
• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
