Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (Telemetry) night shift position in Michigan requiring a current MI RN license and two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Serves adult medical-surgical and telemetry patient populations
13-week contract assignment
Travelers must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
Responsible for caring for patients in a progressive care/telemetry environment
Team environment with cross-disciplinary support
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Specific holiday coverage requirements may apply
No housing stipend or housing expenses are supported for this assignment

Requirements

Active Michigan RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience in a similar setting
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
COVID-19 vaccination card required
Cannot have been employed as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Cannot hold full-time employment elsewhere during the contract

I have never worked anywhere that runs like this facility. They have very limited resources in the upper peninsula. The staffing is always short. The nurses normally do a lot of tech work daily very unorganized difficult to complete tasks because of the way the unit is run. The people are great, but I don’t see any improvement here for a very long time
