Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation position requiring at least one year of recent experience and an active SC or Multi-State Compact PT license.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based outpatient rehab unit setting
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Possible holiday coverage
• May float within scope to meet facility needs or to sister facilities
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation
• Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based therapy plans to a diverse outpatient population
• Scrub attire required in pewter color
• Free parking available for staff
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Compliance modules must be completed pre-start and average 4 hours
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• All requested time off must be included at application; approval is based on facility need

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
• Active SC or Multi-State Compact PT license required at the start of contract (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required; AHA certifications only
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must not be first-time travelers
• Applicants must reside outside a 60-mile radius; local candidates are not accepted
