Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medicine Specialty Unit position, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and at least one year of med/surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Position located in a hospital Medicine Specialty Unit
• Cares for a diverse adult patient population with varying levels of health complexity
• 12-hour day shifts, three days per week
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and deliver patient care including administering medications and monitoring IV infusions
• Document patient assessment findings and responses to interventions and communicate changes with the care team
• Assist physicians with minor diagnostic procedures and coordinate patient care needs with support staff
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans and hospital procedures
• Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility—no local candidates accepted

Requirements

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or a multistate compact (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year of recent relevant nursing experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
