Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring recent CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting and appropriate licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a hospital setting
• Provides care to critically ill pediatric cardiovascular patients
• Assignment is for night shifts, 12 hours per shift, three days per week
• Level I trauma environment
• Responsible for comprehensive care of an assigned group of critically ill pediatric patients
• Will collaborate with physicians for exams, procedures, and implementing care plans
• Expected to administer medications, monitor patient responses, initiate and regulate IV infusions, and provide patient and family education
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• A 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
• Position requires strong communication and organizational skills to address cultural and language needs

Requirements

• Active RN license, either OK state or multistate compact (eNLC)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
• At least one year of CVICU nursing experience in a Level I trauma setting
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
