Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for day shifts with ARRT (CT) certification, level 1 trauma, and Siemens CT experience required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a radiology department with primary assignment to the CT scanner unit
- Level 1 trauma center environment
- Day shift position from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Weekend shifts required
- Rotates among radiology clinics and divisions as needed, may float to off-site clinics
- Uses Siemens CT equipment, Power Injector, Laser Printer, patient monitoring devices, and Epic EMR
- Perform CT scans following established protocols, including patient preparation, positioning, and the use of protective shielding
- Calibrate and verify equipment operation daily and report any malfunctions
- Execute paperwork and Radiology Information System tasks for patient exams, including scheduling and image transfer to PACS
- Perform venipuncture for contrast administration and follow all related policies
- Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintain required continuing education
- May supervise or instruct technology students and new staff within the department
- Participate in research programs, quality assurance, and improvement projects
- On-call and flexible shift coverage may be required
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility; different pay rates may apply to local hires
- Parking at Boston locations is not validated and may incur costs; public transportation is available
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license required (MA conditional licenses not accepted); license required if applicable
- ARRT registration in CT required and must be maintained throughout assignment
- BLS certification required, AHA preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least one year of cross-sectional anatomy experience
- Level 1 trauma and Siemens CT scanner experience required
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions
