Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position on a night shift, requiring an OK or compact RN license and pediatric critical care certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a pediatric stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, working three days per week
• Cares for pediatric patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• No local candidates accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Responsible for caring for an assigned group of pediatric patients with a range of health conditions
• Works collaboratively with physicians and support staff during examinations and treatments
• Documents patient responses and monitors physiological data, administering medications and IV therapy as prescribed
• Interacts with patients and their families to share care plans and discharge procedures
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff
• Extension beyond 26 weeks requires a 6-month break before returning as a traveler

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year of RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association are required
