Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring a NC or compact RN license and BLS.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in the Operating Room department of a large teaching hospital with 900+ beds
- Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center environment
- Shift is 10-hour days from 0700 to 1730 with no weekends, holidays, or call required
- The OR has 11 rooms and covers all service lines except Neuro and Cardiovascular Thoracic
- Patient population includes all ages
- Epic EMR is used; Epic experience preferred
- DaVinci XI robotic equipment is utilized
- No floating required
- First-time travelers may be considered with strong OR experience
- Supportive department structure with Clinical Supervisors and Charge nurses
- Orientation includes facility and two-day departmental training, tailored to experience
- Personal scrubs may be worn into and out of the hospital; hospital-issued scrubs required in the OR
- Free parking is available for staff
- Positive department culture
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Preference for candidates with skillset in multiple service lines
- Epic EMR experience preferred
