Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring a NC or compact RN license and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the Operating Room department of a large teaching hospital with 900+ beds
• Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center environment
• Shift is 10-hour days from 0700 to 1730 with no weekends, holidays, or call required
• The OR has 11 rooms and covers all service lines except Neuro and Cardiovascular Thoracic
• Patient population includes all ages
• Epic EMR is used; Epic experience preferred
• DaVinci XI robotic equipment is utilized
• No floating required
• First-time travelers may be considered with strong OR experience
• Supportive department structure with Clinical Supervisors and Charge nurses
• Orientation includes facility and two-day departmental training, tailored to experience
• Personal scrubs may be worn into and out of the hospital; hospital-issued scrubs required in the OR

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Preference for candidates with skillset in multiple service lines
• Epic EMR experience preferred
