Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of general IR experience and current ARRT (R), BLS, and SCQRSA certification.

Responsibilities

Position is in the Interventional Radiology unit of a tertiary hospital
Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 5x8 hour shifts
On-call is required and rotates between two other technologists
Every third weekend coverage is required
Daily caseload averages 4 cases per technologist
No floating to other units or sister facilities
Epic EMR is used for charting
Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agency
OR scrubs are provided by the facility
First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
Block scheduling may be considered with manager approval based on unit needs
All time-off requests must be included at time of application and are subject to facility approval
Previous employees (including PRN) must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as travelers
No parking costs for staff
Employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
Modules are completed pre-start and are reported by the facility

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience in general Interventional Radiology is required
Experience with Neuro IR cases is preferred
Current BLS, ARRT (R), and SCQRSA certifications are required
Must provide a valid driver's license and Social Security card for consideration
License required if applicable
AHA certification is required
All modules must be completed pre-start, averaging 4 hours
Must live at least 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
