Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU position requiring a KS or compact RN license and AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiac ICU within a hospital setting
• Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30 with every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Cerner OneChart electronic health record system
• Ceil blue scrubs required
• Responsibilities include caring for critically ill cardiac patients and working closely within the ICU team
• Training includes required onsite competency sessions
• All positions are auto offer and local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate according to facility radius rules
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• Must provide two separate professional references and a copy of driver’s license for consideration
• Holiday coverage not specified but may be required per unit needs

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Completion of CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills or MOAB De-Escalation Course online prior to start
• On-site portion of CPI or MOAB High-Risk training to be completed during orientation
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US address
