Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health contract, requiring at least 1.5 years of PT experience and a current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting covering patients of all age groups
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts beginning at 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday
• No call or weekend requirements
• Potential to float to local campuses within the same discipline
• Uses Epic EMR; previous experience preferred
• Role involves contributing clinical skills as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Travelers may be required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Requests off during holiday weeks are limited to one day between 11/26–11/30 and 12/23–1/2
• 16 hours of orientation are provided at the start of the assignment
• Candidates must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Current dress code or scrub color is not specified

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent physical therapy experience
• Active state PT license required if applicable; willing to consider non-Iowa licensed candidates able to apply for Iowa license
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience working with pediatric through geriatric populations preferred
• One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required
