Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring an active Alaska RN license and advanced emergency certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position based in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
• Caring for emergency and trauma patients across a diverse patient population
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• No local candidates accepted per 50 mile radius rule
• Must demonstrate competency in trauma and emergency procedures as required by a busy ER setting
• Compliance with hospital dress code required
• Must have all certifications current and valid for the entire duration of the assignment
• Previous experience in a similar fast-paced, acute care environment preferred

Requirements

• Active Alaska RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted), TNCC, CPI or acceptable behavioral management equivalent
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for Emergency Department
• PALS certification required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• At least one professional reference required
