Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Alaska with required Alaska RN licensure and advanced ER certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a busy Emergency Room (ER) setting
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00AM to 7:00PM
- Position is a 13-week contract
- Responsible for providing emergency nursing care for a variety of acute and critical patients
- Team-based environment with multidisciplinary staff support
- Dress code and scrub color requirements will be communicated prior to start
- Document management and reporting according to facility protocol
- U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth are required for consideration
- References required as per state-specific guidelines (not applicable to Alaska)
- No local candidates will be considered
Requirements
- Active Alaska RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER clinical experience
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC accepted from AHA or ARC
- CPI or equivalent crisis intervention training required for ER staff
- NIH Stroke Certification required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through.
