Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Michigan with Cath Lab experience and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Position based in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab within a hospital setting
• Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 10-hour shifts
• Requires 10 days of on-call per month, including interventional radiology, vascular, and STEMI cases
• Weekend call coverage required
• Work involves caring for patients before, during, and after angiography, cardiac catheterization, and related diagnostic procedures
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, medication administration, documentation, post-cath care, and patient education
• Duties include assisting in stress testing, Holter/Event monitor application, pacemaker interrogation, and insertion of PICC lines
• Expected to operate specialized equipment including cardiac output monitors, pacemakers, intraaortic balloon pumps, defibrillators, and more
• Required to scrub in for procedures and assist the physician and care team
• Provides sedation monitoring and participates in cardiovascular education programs
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered
• Local candidates are not considered if residing within a 50-mile radius
• Dress code and scrub requirements will be communicated prior to assignment

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Cath Lab RN experience required
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred
• At least 1 year Electrophysiology experience preferred
• Competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation preferred
• Familiarity with intraaortic balloon pump operation preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Two supervisory reference forms from the past two years required
• Work history and current skills checklist for Cath Lab required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Travel RN work experience preferred
