Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel position in Alaska requiring an active AK RN license and NIH Stroke certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Care for progressive care/step-down patient population
• 13-week assignment
• Responsibilities include providing nursing care to acutely ill adult patients in a step-down setting
• Scrub or dress code to be determined by the facility
• Holiday coverage may be required depending on unit needs
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active Alaska RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in PCU or Progressive Care
• Current certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must provide US Social Security Number and Date of Birth (no Canadian SSNs)
• At least one professional reference required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
