Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring an active GA or compact license and a minimum of 18 months OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Day shifts, 10 hours each
• No on-call responsibilities
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Current or former Emory or Houston permanent staff must have a 1-year separation before returning to the health system and 18 months if returning to the same facility
• A 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates are not eligible
• Requests for time off (RTO) are limited to a maximum of 5 days unless during or near holidays, in which case a maximum of 3 days is allowed
• Only one holiday time off request is permitted
• Repeated RTO days during holiday periods are not permitted and must be spread out
• Candidates can only apply for one position at a time

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of Operating Room RN experience required
• For CVOR RNs: at least 18 months of full-time CVOR experience within the last 3 years, strong endovascular experience, and proficiency in cardiac and vascular procedures
