Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position in Massachusetts requiring BLS, ACLS, NRP, and relevant AWHONN certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Care for neonate and adult patients
• Infants room-in with mothers; newborn nursery is utilized for infants needing extra care
• Night shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Uses Omnicell medication system
• SBAR communication method is used
• Provide nursing care during labor and delivery, including care for rooming-in infants and mothers
• Must be able to work collaboratively within the unit and adapt to various patient care needs
• Holiday coverage may be required as per hospital needs
• Charge nurse responsibilities are not required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Beginner certification required; AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate preferred
• First time travelers accepted if experience is adequate
