Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Massachusetts requiring BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes neonates and adults
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Uses Omnicell medication system
• Patient care follows inpatient rooming with infants staying in the same room as mothers
• Newborn nursery is available for infants requiring specialized care
• You will be responsible for providing care to laboring mothers and newborns with an emphasis on rooming-in
• No charge nurse responsibilities are required or preferred
• Team-based environment focused on patient-centered care
• Holiday coverage requirements are not specified and may be discussed during interview
• No specified floating or on-call obligations

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner
• AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate certifications preferred
• Experience using the SBAR communication method
• First-time travelers will be screened for clinical experience and may be accepted
