Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric IV Therapy RN with ultrasound-guided IV placement skills and experience in pediatric vascular access for rotating day/night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in the IV Therapy Vascular Access Team at an acute care hospital
- Care for pediatric through adult patient populations
- Specialize in pediatric vascular access including HemeOnc and ICU cases
- Perform ultrasound-guided IV placements and use vein finder equipment
- Work rotating 12-hour shifts including days, evenings, and nights (7am-7:30pm, 11am-11:30pm, 3pm-3:30am)
- Weekend shifts are required
- Charting conducted using EPIC EMR system
- Unit observes solid color scrubs (any color allowed)
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates are accepted with a rate differential for those within 50 miles
- Magnet-recognized hospital with Level III/IV NICU and Level I Trauma designation
- Various parking options available including discounted day passes, evening rates, and free night parking
- Solid color scrubs required for all units
- Team is responsible for IV access throughout the hospital for a range of pediatric through adult cases
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric vascular access team or relevant IV therapy experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong ultrasound-guided IV placement and vein finder experience required
- Experience with pediatric and adult vascular access in settings such as HemeOnc or ICU required
