Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool night shift position requiring a TN or compact RN license and the ability to pass EKG testing.

Responsibilities

• Work in a float pool covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units within a hospital setting
• Night shift (3x12 hours), 19:00-07:30
• Float to various units as needed, with assignments based on clinical experience
• Patient ratios typically 1:8, with team nursing possible at higher ratios
• Must work every other weekend or two weekends per month
• Cerner charting system is used; previous Cerner experience is preferred but not required
• Must not request time off during major holidays or holiday weeks; any holiday RTO must be requested onsite
• No blocked scheduling requests are permitted
• RTO cannot occur within 14 days of start date and may not exceed 7 days
• Travel teams who are related or married may not work on the same unit
• Modules are completed during orientation and annually, with hours varying by department
• Candidates cannot return to the same campus as previous permanent staff within 24 months

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications are required; ACLS is preferred
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Certifications and licensure may not expire within 45 days of the assignment start date
