Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Alaska requiring an active AK RN license and advanced certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department within a hospital setting
- Care for a diverse emergency patient population
- Shift is 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- 13-week contract assignment
- No local candidates will be considered due to a 50-mile radius rule
- Responsibilities include assessment, triage, and care of patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Must comply with hospital crisis prevention and intervention policies
- Professional attire or scrubs required as per department policy
Requirements
- Active AK RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (all must be AHA or ARC, with no expiration within the first 30 days of start)
- CPI or approved alternate crisis management certification required for ER
- U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- At least one recent professional reference required
