Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Alaska requiring an active AK RN license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department within a hospital setting
• Care for a diverse emergency patient population
• Shift is 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• No local candidates will be considered due to a 50-mile radius rule
• Responsibilities include assessment, triage, and care of patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Must comply with hospital crisis prevention and intervention policies
• Professional attire or scrubs required as per department policy

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (all must be AHA or ARC, with no expiration within the first 30 days of start)
• CPI or approved alternate crisis management certification required for ER
• U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• At least one recent professional reference required
