Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adult medical-surgical and telemetry cases
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, with day/night rotating shifts required
• Shifts may vary to meet operational needs, and rotation between day and night may occur
• Use of ECG rhythm recognition and other telemetry monitoring equipment is required
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday as scheduled
• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to facility for 1 year following their previous end date
• Badging and onsite fingerprinting required before start date
• Mandatory pre-start and annual modules must be completed prior to start and are tracked via Silkroad
• NICOTINE SCREENING is required for travelers except RNs and CSTs, who are currently exempt
• PAPRs are only considered for facial hair with approved medical or religious exemption
• Assignments at the facility shall not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a minimum 6 month wait between assignments

Requirements

• Active permanent Ohio or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be active
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation is required
• At least one supervisory reference in the specialty required for consideration
• No open background check cases or license violations accepted
