Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a PA or compact license and at least two years of PCU or stepdown experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Patient population includes those requiring progressive or stepdown level care
• Night shift is typically three consecutive 12-hour nights within the same week
• Day shifts are three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:30 to 19:30
• Weekend shifts are required
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must be responsive and cooperative with all credentialing processes
• Detailed credentialing instructions will be provided by the credentialing team
• Assignment requires compliance with strict background and credentialing timelines

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of two years recent experience in PCU or stepdown settings
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be willing and able to complete PA fingerprinting and Childline background checks
• Must complete lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
