Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med Surg RN with at least 2 years of experience and a current SC or compact RN license for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care hospital on a 54-bed Medical Surgical unit
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Required to work every other weekend
• Float required within scope to similar units as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system; experience preferred
• Block scheduling may be considered with prior approval but is not guaranteed
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Emergency response team participation may be required during hurricane season (June–November)
• Free parking available on site
• All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to assignment offers

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand before start
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• IV start skills required
• Experience with cardiac gtt and telemetry monitoring preferred
• Locals within a 60-mile radius may be considered
• License must have no pending actions
• First-time travelers are accepted
