Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring prior MS/Tele and ER holding experience, night shifts, and the ability to float to multiple units.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting on the Med/Surg and Telemetry units, floating as needed
- Float required to Med/Surg, MS/Tele, IMC, and ED Border areas based on patient needs
- Night shift schedule with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, 19:00 to 07:30
- Every third weekend coverage required
- Care for medical-surgical, telemetry, and cardiac telemetry patients as well as emergency department boarders
- Must be willing and able to float to various inpatient units and the emergency department to care for border patients
- Team members support each other across multiple departments as staffing needs arise
- First time travelers are not considered for this position
- Every third weekend and night shift scheduling required
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele and cardiac telemetry experience required
- ER holding experience required
- Must have prior travel nursing experience
- Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred
