Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care Float position requiring MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, and ER holding experience with mandatory floating between multiple units.
Responsibilities
- Position located in an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit with float responsibilities
- Float required to Medical Surgical (MS), IMC, and ED Boarder units as needed
- Work schedule includes 3x12 or 4x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
- Every third weekend coverage required
- Patient populations include telemetry and cardiac telemetry cases
- Candidates will care for emergency department boarders and inpatient medical/surgical patients
- Responsibilities include caring for patients across IMC, MS, and ED Boarder units based on staffing needs
- Team members expected to float to appropriate units as patient census demands
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rate
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Previous hospital travel nursing experience required
- Experience with Med/Surg, telemetry, cardiac telemetry, and ER holding required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred
