Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position caring for cardiology and cardiac procedure patients, requiring a LA or compact RN license and at least two years of prior PACU or Pre/Post Op experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the PACU of a hospital setting
- Care provided for pre- and post-operative cardiology and cardiac procedure patients
- Unit handles LHC, RHC, TAVR, ablations, TEE, cardioversion, loop recorders, pacemakers, and vascular procedures
- Utilizes specialized equipment including a vein finder and bladder scanner
- Four 10-hour day shifts per week, with start times of 5:00 or 9:00 (to be determined during interview)
- Will not consider local candidates; must reside at least 65 miles from the facility
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team with expectations to remain at facility during events or provide relief support
- Royal blue or white scrubs required
- Discuss all requested time off during interview to ensure consideration
- Will report as directed by unit manager during emergency events
Requirements
- Active LA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of PACU or Pre/Post Op RN experience
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS, all must be from AHA
- No first-time travelers accepted
