Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring LA or compact RN licensure, with night shifts and high acuity patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a high-acuity Medical ICU setting
  • Care for patients with COVID requiring pronation therapy and CRRT
  • Performs pronation therapy and manages vasopressor titrations
  • Utilizes CRRT dialysis equipment
  • Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
  • Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
  • Floating to other units may be required
  • Assignment to an Emergency Team during facility-declared events is required, which may include staying onsite until the event passes or serving on a relief team
  • No block scheduling requests will be considered
  • Epic EMR experience is strongly preferred
  • Preferred but not required certifications include CPI and NIHSS
  • All time-off requests must be submitted with your application for consideration

Requirements

  • Current LA or compact RN license
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
  • Minimum experience with high-acuity patients required
  • Experience with CRRT and pronation therapy required
  • Must live at least 65 miles from the facility; local travelers not accepted
